Dear OER13 conference attendee / presenter,
I would like to ask you to take part in a very short multiple choice survey.
When OER developers upload their materials to an online distribution repository for external consumption, they are ‘teaching strangers’: there is little available information about who the learners who use those resources are, what they do with them, or their opinion on the materials. I have collected such information from 2000 users of free iTunes U resources from The Open University and I would like you to guess what their answers were. This aims to give you an opportunity to think about who the audience for this particular context may be and then compare your guesses with the actual results.
Please do not try to look up information to answer the questions and go with your instincts / previous knowledge.
The survey should take less than 5 minutes to complete. Your answers will be completely anonymous.

The survey will close on March 21st, but the sooner you complete it the better opportunity I will have to analyse the results. So why not do it right now if you’ve got 5 spare minutes?
Thank you very much for your cooperation. The results will be presented on my paper “Personalising the stranger: developing a learner profile of the iTunes U user”, at the OER13 conference on March 26th at 12.00 pm (paper 23).
